Solar energy continues to gain popularity worldwide as a viable alternative to fossil fuels. Solar farming, the concentration of solar cells in an array, is an infrastructural typology which has traditionally been located in remote areas. Often these installations have been viewed as a physical and visual hindrance; especially in urban and suburban areas. The Solar Gardens project seeks to reconcile this by combining the technical elements necessary to capture solar energy with communal spaces that facilitate cultural growth.
